Hiranandani, Aparna Constructions donate Rs 5 crore each to fight Covid-19

NEW DELHI: Mumbai-based Hiranandani Group has donated Rs 5 crore to Maharashtra Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) to tackle the coronavirus crisis, Niranjan Hiranandani, managing director of the company tweeted.
In response, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray thanked the builder for the contribution.
JCB India has partnered with Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, Faridabad to support the fight against COVID-19. The company has made a commitment to fund PPEs, medicines, testing kits, security suits and consumables for doctors and healthcare workers.
Subir Kumar Chowdhury, managing director and CEO of the company said “We have initiated a multipronged prevention, mitigation and ongoing support strategy with Asian Institute of Medical Sciences to deal with COVID-19 related patients."
Similarly, Aparna Constructions and Estates donated Rs 2 crore to Prime Minister’s Care Fund, contributed Rs 2 crore to the Telangana Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and Rs 1 crore to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Along with enforcing safety measures and cleanliness in our labour colonies, we continuously monitor the health of all workers and arrange regular visits by a doctor, said Rakesh Reddy, director of the company.
Wipro Enterprises along with Wipro and Azim Premji Foundation together committed Rs 1,125 crore towards tackling the unprecedented health and humanitarian crisis arising from the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.
Of the Rs 1,125 crore, Wipro Enterprises committed Rs 25 crore, Wipro pledged Rs 100 crore and Azim Premji Foundation donated Rs 1,000 crore. Wipro Enterprises has Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting and Wipro Infrastructure Engineering under its umbrella.
